 Excesses and shrotages of water, nutrients, and sunlight can impact both plant productivity and plant distribution. Avoidance and tolerance are two common mechanisms in plants to address short-term changes in resource levels. In today's lecture, we discuss the basic mechanisms by which plants respond to environmental stresses.
